       Zipper A zipper is a fastener that uses a continuous series of interlocking teeth to join or separate items. It is widely used in clothing, bags, tents, and more.

Definition of a Zipper:

1. A fastener consisting of two strips of metal or plastic teeth, used to close the edges of an opening (such as clothing or a bag), with a slider that can pull the two rows of teeth into an interlocked position to close the opening;
2. A chain attached to something (as an object to be lifted or lowered) to tighten, stabilize, or guide it.

Composition

A zipper consists of teeth, a slider, top and bottom stops (front and back stops), or locking devices. The teeth are the key part, directly determining the zipper's lateral pulling strength. Generally, a zipper has two chain tapes, each with a row of teeth, and the two rows of teeth are arranged in an interleaved manner. The slider holds the teeth on both sides, and by sliding with the pull tab, the teeth on both sides can be engaged or disengaged.

Detailed contents of zipper components:

1. Tape: A flexible tape made of cotton yarn, chemical fiber, or mixed chemical fiber, used to carry teeth and other zipper components;
2. Tape Edge: The reinforced part at the edge of the tape used to carry metal or plastic teeth;
3. Tape Core: A rope-like object composed of multiple strands of fiber in the middle of the tape edge;
4. Teeth: Teeth of a certain shape made of metal, plastic, or other materials through processing;
5. Core Yarn: Made of multiple strands of fiber, used as a rope-like object in the production of nylon zipper teeth chains;
6. Teeth Chain: Continuously arranged teeth;
7. Teeth Chain Tape: Teeth chain fixed on the tape;
8. Chain Tape: Chain tape formed by the engagement of two teeth chain tapes;
9. Top Stop: Fixed on the teeth chain tape, a stop that prevents the slider from sliding out of the teeth chain tape when the teeth chain is closed;
10. Bottom Stop: Fixed on the teeth chain tape, a stop that prevents the slider from sliding out of the teeth chain tape when the teeth chain is opened, and prevents the two teeth chain tapes from being completely separated;
11. Front and Rear Tape Heads: The tape part of the zipper without teeth is called the tape head, the top stop end is the front tape head, and the bottom stop end is the rear tape head;
12. Insert Tube (also known as Insert Pin): A tube-shaped part fixed at the end of the open-end zipper, used to completely separate the chain tapes;
13. Insert Socket: A square part fixed at the end of the open-end zipper, used to completely separate the chain tapes;
14. Double Open-End Stop: A tube-shaped stop that works with the insert tube and is used on double open-end zippers;
15. Reinforced Tape: A composite thin film used to enhance the bonding strength between the insert tube, insert socket, and tape, and improve the service life of the zipper;
16. Slider: The moving part that engages and disengages the teeth;
17. Pull Tab: A component of the slider, which can be designed into various geometric shapes and connected to the slider body or connected to the slider body through an intermediate part to achieve zipper opening and closing; (can be directly hung or indirectly hung);
18. Intermediate Connecting Piece: The intermediate element connecting the slider body and the pull tab.
