I: There are three series of zippers: metal, plastic (resin), and nylon.
II: Zippers are classified by tooth shape:
1) Metal zippers: divided into ordinary teeth and Y-shaped teeth (except for 2# and 7#, other models are Y-shaped teeth)
Y-shaped zippers have stronger single-tooth and combined-tooth tension than ordinary teeth, with superior performance.
2) Plastic zippers: ordinary teeth, moving teeth, pointed opening, fine teeth, tail teeth, square teeth
3) Nylon zippers: nylon teeth, invisible teeth
III: Zippers are classified by size:
1) Metal zipper models: 2#, 3#, 4#, 5#, 7#, 8#, 10#
2) Plastic zippers: 3#, 4#, 5#, 8#, 10#, 30#
3) Nylon zippers:
A. Nylon 3#, 4#, 5#, 8#, 10#
B. Invisible 3#, 4#, 5# (4# has better tensile strength, KEE only makes 4#)
IV: Zipper materials [ h ] 1) Tape:
Standard polyester tape: made of polyester
Cotton tape: made of cotton yarn
Fire-resistant tape: NOMEX flame-retardant yarn
2) Teeth:
Metal zippers: 65 brass, white copper, 85 purple copper, purple copper
Plastic zippers: POM rubber particles (polyoxymethylene)
Nylon zippers: polyester monofilament
3) Slider:
Zinc alloy
4) Top stop/bottom stop
Metal zippers: 65 brass, 85 purple copper
Nylon zippers: copper wire, aluminum wire, ultrasonic top stop wire
Plastic zippers: POM resin particles (polyoxymethylene)
5) Square head bolt
Zinc alloy
V: Zipper manufacturing process:
Weaving -＞ Dyeing -＞ Tooth arrangement -＞ Square head bolt/bottom stop -＞ Core cutting (broken core) tape -＞ Slider insertion -＞ Striking
Stop -＞ Quality inspection -＞ Packaging and delivery
Slider:
(1) Classified by material: plastic steel/metal/fresh-keeping puller, etc.
(2) Classified by puller: ordinary (no puller/short puller/long puller)/customer-customized puller
(3) Sliders are usually metal sliders. Due to different electroplating methods, they can be divided into electro-white/sand electroplating/electro-black/baked fog black/black nickel/antique copper/matte copper/electro-white/gold plating, etc. Please refer to the manufacturer's catalog. Pay attention to the color difference of each batch of goods in the electroplating process.
Note: Zipper heads must be used in conjunction. Sometimes, zipper heads from different manufacturers may also be incompatible.
