Different solutions for various zipper problems Clothes zippers, after prolonged use, become difficult to zip or unzip due to wear and tear. Smart solutions for fixing zippers: I. Inability to zip up The main reason a zipper cannot be zipped up is that the gap between the upper and lower zipper teeth has widened, or the width of the zipper slider has increased. Different solutions for various zipper problems

The zipper on the clothes has been used for a long time, and it cannot be zipped up because of wear and tear.

Ingenious methods to rescue a zipper that won't zip properly:

1. Cannot zip up

The main reason why the zipper cannot be zipped up is that the spacing between the upper and lower teeth is too large or the width of the left and right teeth is too wide. Use pliers to gently clamp the upper and lower or left and right sides, being careful not to use excessive force. Avoid damaging the zipper head! After repairing, you can apply a little wax to the zipper to make it smoother in the future. If it breaks after clamping several times for a few days, you should consider replacing the zipper head.

2. Cannot zip

If the zipper cannot be zipped up no matter how hard you try, you can apply soap or wax to it, then slide it up and down several times, and you will be able to zip it up.

Zipper usage tips:

In order to avoid problems with the zipper on your clothes, there are some small tips for using zippers on a daily basis!

1. Do not pull too fast or too hard, let alone forcefully.

2. Do not pull too tightly, to avoid stretching.

3. Be sure to apply a layer of wax to the zipper, then pull it back and forth to ensure smooth operation.

4. Be sure to zip up the zipper when washing clothes, otherwise the zipper will be washed by water, and the washing machine and dryer will randomly twist it, causing the zipper teeth to fall off and cause damage.

5. Regularly check the zipper, paying attention to any "missing teeth", "skewing", etc. If it is loose, you can gently tap the zipper head with a small hammer to make the upper and lower teeth mesh a little, so that the teeth will not fall off frequently.

If the zipper slider is broken, you can only replace the zipper slider. If it is not broken, follow these steps to stop it:

1.) First, use pliers to pull down the large teeth at the top of the zipper, pulling both sides out.

2.) Pull the zipper slider to the top.

3.) Then merge the teeth on both sides together.

4.) Reinsert the zipper slider (this is somewhat difficult, because the diameter of the metal zipper is relatively thick, if it cannot be inserted, cut a small notch on the diameter line, remember, do not cut in the center of the large tooth, but slightly above the center, otherwise the large tooth will not fit).

5.) After zipping up the zipper slider, put on the large teeth, and everything is normal.

Or another way:

1. When opening and closing is not smooth, if you forcefully pull the end of the chain, it will cause a bite problem. At this time, apply paraffin wax or lubricating spray to the surface and inside of the teeth, then move the slider several times, and it will slide easily.

2. Too many items are packed in the bag, if the zipper is closed, the zipper will be subjected to excessive force, causing the teeth to separate from the tape. This is a serious problem with the zipper. Pull the teeth closer so that the slider can easily pass through the closed zipper. It is best to take out some of the items in the bag, do not pack it too full.

3. When opening and closing the zipper, sometimes the slider bites the thread or fabric, and the slider cannot be pulled open. If you forcefully pull the slider, it will bite deeper and deeper. Unravel the fabric. When it is completely bitten, do not forcefully pull the slider, but slowly pull the slider back.
